Virtual Reality Characters

Description

EDIT Orion is now suitably buff.

So I was going to upload this last night, but at the last minute decided that I didn't like the way Leto looked. I redrew her today, and then because I hate myself I added full body silhouettes at the bottom of the page.

I draw Leto with some frequency, but I tend to neglect the other characters from Virtual Reality, which is a shame because I quite like VR's supporting cast.

Leto is a bit reserved most of the time, but cross her and you'll get to see just how passionate and aggressive she can be. She cares deeply for her small circle of friends, but especially Artemis, whom she considers like a sister. Leto spends much of her free time trying to break into TREE's restricted files, finding old video clips and films to watch and share with Art.

Apollo is sharp-witted, if a bit wistful. When Leto finds old video, he'll watch and be carried away into another world. He's a bit romantic, and like Leto can be very passionate about some things. Apollo is not, however, nearly as aggressive. He's a gentile soul at heart.

Rubia is not the same as the others; they are Ghosts, people born and bred specifically by TREE to work within and maintain the VR. Rubia is not. She's a civilian, having a fairly well off family and an expanse of free time. Rubia's unstimulated and bored, and has a high IQ amongst her peers.

Orion is tough. He's the strongest physically of the group, and the most willing to fight. He resents TREE for their manipulation and experimentation, a rare attitude amongst the rather subservient Ghosts. Despite growing up around constant technological stimulation, Orion is kind of a luddite and nowhere near as skilled with computers or navigating the VR as Leto, Apollo, Rubia, or even Art.

Artemis is, at 11, the youngest person in the group. At her young age she's already lost a leg to TREE, though she hasn't experienced nearly as much as her companions. She's still an innocent, and the others, especially Leto and Orion, feel protective of her.

It's a great ensemble: their personalities complement each other while still standing out as individuals. Everyone looks like the same person in all the angles– yay for being able to keep characters looking like themselves between pictures! My only critique visually is that Leto's cheekbones seem a little far back in the profile shot.
So yeah, I like this. It's a good, clear character/cast reference sheet. And man, Leto's gaze is intense.
